themeasles.org and the film following its effort are both a production of Change For a Billion, a registered non-profit in Washington State. Large donations to the film production or to measles inoculation can be eligible for tax deduction. If you need tax deductability, please contact us directly to discuss your donation.

If you’re interested in donating, you can donate in two different ways:

  • support measles inoculations for kids in the developing world
  • donate to our film project
Option 1: 100% of monies donated go directly to international efforts to vaccinate kids in regions where measles still exists — as a completely volunteer organization we have no payroll or administrative costs (and any administrative costs that do arise are paid out-of-pocket by our board members).  As people who also donate to non-profits we are discerning about where our money goes, and for us it’s important to maintain this transparency, which is why 100% of money donated to us for measles inoculation will go directly to that.  This is also why we work so hard to keep this site full of info about our progress! It costs less than a dollar to vaccinate a child in the developing world.

Option 2: Donate to our documentary film and help inspire kids around the world to get involved in solving the measles problem. Creating a documentary from the ground up is an exciting and rewarding process, but it is also quite costly. Our film is intended to inspire others to raise funds for the international effort to eradicate measles.  There is a measles funding shortage this year alone of more than $59 million, which is the point of our film, to help keep funding going and finish off measles for good. This means expenses like airline tickets, camera equipment and visa applications are being paid independently by the film crew, and as you can imagine, these add up quickly.  We would not be able to make this documentary the best it could be without your help.
