About TheMeasles.org
Themeasles.org is a humanitarian project of Change For a Billion, designed to raise funding for measles eradication. The project itself is the subject of a documentary film.
The idea of this site is to serve not only as a clearing house for information on our measles project, but also to serve as inspiration for others to help to fund measles eradication or to start up similar non-profit projects. There’s no reason to reinvent the wheel; as we make mistakes, gain insight into fundraising, raising awareness, and so on, it would stand to reason we should share that insight so it may benefit others with similar goals.
We are big believers in freedom of information, and the idea that everything we do should be published under an “open source” or “copyleft” license. This site is just beginning to get filled with content, but we hope to post lots of information and tools for activists, teachers, artists, aspiring filmmakers, and so on. Most of our work will be published under a BY-SC-NA license from Creative Commons (which simply means you may share or take advantage of our work as long as you give visible attribution, do not profit, and release any subsequent derived works under the same license).
If you have any questions about the content on this site, whether it’s appropriate/sanctioned to use for your purposes, or just need some general help, please drop us a line.
